Vox Populi, A Community Singing Group.

Home Page.

Vox Populi is a community singing group based in Sheldon, Birmingham. The group aims to deliver concerts and music-based projects, primarily in community venues, and to experience and communicate a wide variety of musical styles focusing on popular music, but also exploring contemporary, world and early music.

There are no auditions, and the members of the group believe strongly in making the group accessible to all sections of the community. We are a small group, who meet in St Cyprian's church, Hay Mills on Wednesday evenings, 7:15pm to 9:00pm. We are a friendly, fun loving group of mixed ability, with a number of mature members and we are always looking to increase our numbers.

As always we are looking for new members. If you wish to come and see if you want to join us, let us know by email (see contacts page). No singing ability required, just the desire to have fun. Don't let the fact that we like to do concerts put you off. We can always accommodate new members and we wouldn't throw you in at the deep end. You never know, you might just enjoy yourself as we do.

Vox Populi is a small self-funding organisation and as such it is important that we have a subscription policy to avoid any misunderstanding and embarrassment. You are, of course, welcome to a free trial session to see if we are right for each other. With the above exception, members are expected to pay for all the sessions in a term, whether or not they attend, unless a session is cancelled.
